2 bundles vacuum packed together. Each bundle is 90 meters. A total of 180 meters - should stuff 220 lbs. of sausage.

Each strand of these hog casings is on a plastic tube. This prevents tangles from occurring as the strands are already separated for you. Take out of the net sufficient strands for use and soak them in warm water for 1 hour gently massaging every 10 minutes to assist with rehydration. The tubed casing strand can then be pulled on to your horn using the flared end of the tube. Continue pulling the tube until it slides right off the horn leaving the casing ready to use on the stuffing horn.

Alternatively, after soaking, slide the casing off the tube and then pull the casing on to the horn. If you force some water into the casing before pulling it on to the horn the water will act as a lubricant. This can help prevent breakage.
Re-salt the casings that were soaked but not used by rubbing them in a generous amount of salt and store in the fridge.
